Scouting:
This roadside inn is in good repair and better business; you would estimate that upwards of thirty travelers are here for the night, and you hear a great deal of commotion and general business from below. If the players approach visibly, they are hailed and invited to stay the night, free of charge. A DC 10 Knowledge (local) reveals that this inn is famed for its special dish, named after the Inn’s owner, Gorner.

NPC’s recognize the PC’s and are overly friendly.

Their dinner is delicious, but the drink is strong and spiked for extra potency (Fort save DC 15, -6 WIS penalty).

Any PC’s who remain downstairs through dinner receive a Sense Motive check DC 15 allowing them to notice the Halflings at the table in the corner eyeing them warily.

Any inquiry tells them that the bar is a known hangout for both gamblers and bookies.

Any PC’s who continue to consume free drinks are entitled to a DC 22 Perception Check to notice the slight of hand followed by a DC 16 Fort save (two doses blue whinis). A failure results in falling unconscious “from the night of boozing”
